Why do I need an appraisal?
An official appraisal is essential to provide you with adequate insurance coverage. If your jewelry is lost, stolen or damaged, the insurance company will require this information in order to replace your item with like kind and quality.
What will be included in my appraisal?
A. Type of mounting and material.
B. Type and number of gemstones.
C. Cut, clarity, color and carat weight of diamond(s) or cut and carat weight of Moissanite, as well
as other gemstones.
D. Type, size, shape, and luster of pearls if any.
E. Date purchased.
F. Style, length, weight, and karat of gold chain.
G. The current retail replacement value along with any applicable sales tax.
How do I begin the process?
During the process of selecting your jewelry, you will be provided with the option of receiving free insurance with purchase of a $25.00 appraisal. Once you receive your purchase, the appraisal will be enclosed. Moissanite Fine Jewelry.com will also provide you with a fax number via email so that you can fax a copy of the appraisal and insurance application to our partner insurance company. We recommend that you keep the original appraisal with your policy, as well as your online purchase receipt.
What will the Moissanite Fine Jewelry.com insurance policy cover?
Our comprehensive personal jewelry insurance program provides protection for the following:
1. Loss
2. Theft
3. Mysterious Disappearance
4. Damage

Why not just use my homeowner's insurance policy?
Unfortunately, most standard homeowners policies usually provide only limited coverage for jewelry, often excluding breakage or loss. With Moissanite Fine Jewelry's insurance provided to you at no charge, you're jewelry will be fully covered.
What happens if I lose my jewelry?
If you experience a loss, you won't have to pay out of your own pocket.
Will I have to pay a deductible?
No. Our partner's policy offers complete coverage with no deductible.
Can I use my local jeweler for repairs?
When you need to repair or replace a jewelry item covered by your policy, you'll be able to work with someone you know and trust like your local jeweler, or Moissanite Fine Jewelry. We also won't make you get several estimates.
Should I have my jewelry inspected regularly?
We suggest periodic inspections of your insured items. Why, you may ask?
There are two major reasons.
1. While we do not cover normal wear and tear of your jewelry, you'll have peace of mind knowing that during inspections, your jeweler can identify small problems - such as loose stones, worn prongs, and faulty clasps - before they become bigger ones.
2. Most jewelry values increase over time, so routine inspections are important for maintaining current values and adequate insurance limits. Inspections also are a great opportunity to have your jewelry cleaned.
